Welcome to the Internet-in-a-Box (IIAB) Wiki!
Internet-in-a-Box (IIAB) is a project that provides individuals and organizations with a way to create their own offline version of the internet. This can be done by installing IIAB on an old laptop or PC, or more commonly, on a Raspberry Pi computer. Once installed and configured, IIAB will provide users access to a wide variety of content, including websites, articles, electronic books, Wikipedia in any language, thousands of Khan Academy videos, zoomable OpenStreetMap, WordPress journaling, Toys from Trash electronics projects, and more.
If you are new to the project, please also take a moment to read Internet-in-a-Box's NEW Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
We post regular IIAB community updates from around the world to: @internet_in_box
Advanced users can also take a look at our Tech Docs Wiki on GitHub for info on IIAB architecture, networking, and content management. Additionally, there are HOW-TO videos covering related topics. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to make contact or post to our mailing list or forums. Finally, you are invited to edit any page in this Wiki towards helping schools everywhere — please email your preferred username so we can set you up with a password if so!
